I have decided to coin a new term: child induced ADD (or maybe Toddler-induced ADD). Even when James is napping, I can't seem to do anything for more than a half hour. Then I am like, I need to go do something else. It is terribly annoying and makes it difficult to complete anything. I have never had this problem before, and, frankly, I don't like it.
James has always slept well his whole life. My mom often tells me that I don't really know what it is like to have a baby because he slept through the night at about four months. All of that changed about a month ago. All the books kept warning me that at about 12 months the world is too interesting to sleep. I waited for it and waited for it. It finally happened, and I am tired. He now thinks it is fun to wake up a half hour to an hour earlier than he used to, but he doesn't want to got to sleep any earlier. He also plays in his crib for quite a while before falling asleep at nap time. *sigh* It is good that I love him.
On another note, I sent the book off again, to a local publisher this time. So wish me luck!

I am the same why. That is why nothing gets done around here.
Good luck with the book!!!
I agree, I get toddler ADD too. I always feel like there is something I need to get done, but I can't focus on exactly which item is more important. As for the sleep thing, Elizabeth still sleeps in, but the battle for bedtime has been going on for far too long.
Good luck with the book!
watch out! I don't think it's toddler induced ADD, I think it's JAMES induced ADD. Either that or T-I-ADD turns into kid induced ADD, which I am sure will eventually turn into teen induced ADD...
I can totally relate to this too Brooke!! You are adorable! What a great way to articulate how crazy motherhood can be.
Oh, that's sooo exciting you sent a book out to get published! Good luck!! Keep us posted on how it goes :)
