So, I finally found out today that they are most likely going to cover the doctor doing my surgery. Yeah, the surgery is tomorrow and still nobody seems to know for sure. See, here is the situation. My primary care physician is not technically on the in network list with my provider, but the clinic where he works is. So as long as he is billed under the clinic, he is covered. Well, he referred me to an OBGYN within that same clinic. Well, the surgery is not performed in the clinic, but in a hospital (amazing, I know), and it took me hours to find a hospital covered under my insurance. But apparently when the OBGYN steps outside the clinic he is technically no longer billable under that clinic (I guess he becomes Batman or something on his way to the hospital).
Then yesterday, they call to register me for my surgery. I never understood the preregistration any way. They ask you a bunch of questions that they ask you again when you are registering in the hospital. Any way, the girl calls and says, "Hi I'm so and so from the blah blah hospital calling to preregister you for your proceedure on Friday." "Whoa, what? Friday? My surgery is on Wednesday." Pause. "That's right, today is the 16th, so Wednesday." Man, it better be on Wednesday because that is when I am showing up.
Last night I am minding my own business and watching Big Bang Theory (which if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, but maybe it is just because I knew guys just like them), and my tongue starts to feel weird. It keeps getting weirder and then flat out starts to itch, like I have been licking sage brush (which I am allergic too). I start thinking to myself, "oh, no not again." So apparently I am allergic to one of the medications I am on.
Then to top off the list of good news (please people this is sarcasm, I know there was some confusion earlier), I just got an email saying I did not make it into the next round in the writing contest.
STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF!!!!

I just read your last 6 posts/ Medical nightmare explanations. I had no idea (aside from the one armedness-if that's a word)
I hope you can use all of this in your future book writing and smile at it eventually. At least you've got you mom close. They (usually) make the world so much better.
Oh, man! Things have got to start looking up for you soon. At least you'll have a few good books to read while you recover.
Sorry I didn't return your call the other day. It has been a crazy week. I am glad you got the books. I knocked on your door a few times but hesitated to ring the door bell for fear I would totally mess up nap time. We'll have to pow-wow soon.
