Some random stuff and some requested help for the readers

*I saw the weirdest thing on TV. I guess there is some lady who is pregnant with two babies that are not twins. One is actually two weeks younger. The thing is, they will both be born on the same day because it isn't like you can tell the other one to hold on for a while. So then, does that make them twins? Because aren't twins defined as two children born on the same day?*

*Apparently we have a mouse in our laundry room. I guess it is time to let the cats in there.*

*I am trying to read 50 books a year. Last year I think I made it to 48, with only a little cheating of adding things like The Eye Book. I was right on track until this month. September was a mess. For starters I went to Lake Powell. Then it doesn't help that I have been reading the Wheel of Time series where the books are 500+ pages (I think they should count as at least 2). Then I started Wicked, and I really don't know that I will finish it. I got about halfway through because it was all I had to read on my way home from Lake Powell. So here I am with September almost over and I have not read even one book this month. Unless you count The Very Hungry Caterpillar which I have read probably 30 times.*

*I am thinking of updated my list of the top 10 books of all time. I think I need to add The Book Thief. Okay, I know I need to add that one, but who to kick off? I am also debating adding something by Shannon Hale, but I don't know that I could pick which one. Maybe River Secrets.*

*I am looking for some movie suggestions. I have Netflix, and it is looking kind of bare right now. I know there are always movies that I think "I want to see that." But I don't right them down or anything so as soon as their commercials are off the TV, I forget their names. So, if everyone would post the best movie, or perhaps the only recent movie they have seen and maybe something about plot or why they liked it, it would be appreciated.*

*Nobody check the grammar too closely in this post. I don't feel like rereading it.*

I'm glad you liked The Book Thief! I thought it was a gorgeous book. I just read the new Dan Brown book, and seriously, after reading REAL literature like The Book Thief, what a let-down. Oh well.

I think you should count "Wicked"...just read the rest in synopsis form via the internet. (I think WOT should count as 2 as well).

As for movies..I don't watch them much. The last current ones we rented (at redbox...never pay over a $1 for ones you might hate!) was 17 Again, which was actually pretty good (watched it twice) and Labor Pains (just avoid anything to do with the labor coach!).
And....Madagascar 2, which is safe for all.

We have Netflix too and often have that same problem, so I'll be checking the comments here. The best movie we recently watched with Ghost Town. I'm not sure how old it was, but Stan and I agreed it was the best one we've seen in a while.

p.s. I like your 50 books a year goal, I want to look of goodreads and see how many I've read. Right now I'm donig the Wheel of Time (I'm on the 3rd one) The first one wasn't as good as I wanted, but the 2nd and this one I'm really into. (Stan's not too happy about that- esp. not when I told him there are 11 + 3 to come)

Marf and I saw "Julie and Julia" the other night and it was much better than I expected it to be. It was actually pretty enjoyable. :)

What an ambitious goal to finish 50 books! Good luck!

We recently watched Confessions of a Shopoholic. It's cute and pretty clean (only PG).

Unfortunately we watch too many movies. We just saw Julie and Julia and loved it, but it's not on video. We just rented the Soloist and liked it. Seven Pounds was good, but made me a little mad. Baby Mama was pretty funny. Don't get Benjamin Button, boring.

What did you think about 'Wicked'? I have heard from a few people that it is really trashy. I haven't yet heard from someone that really liked it, so I haven't picked it up.

As far as movies...Jeff and I have been doing documentaries on Netflix lately. I love Ken Burns's Lewis and Clark, we're starting 'The Supreme Court', and we're in the middle of 'The National Parks' also by Ken Burns (although that was on tv, not netflix). I did just recently finish "August Rush" which was pretty good. I know I have some Star Trek movies coming up on my queue, though. Oh--we watched the BBC miniseries "Robin Hood." It is excellent!

Good point, Bonnie....I don't know how having two babies like this woman you mention is possible. Are they sure it's not like the one baby is ahead in its development and the other behind? I hear of women being pregnant with twins and one of them doesn't develop like it should. But, yes, I would say if they are born at the same time they would be classified as twins.

Sorry I didn't leave a comment until now...let's just say life is insane. You should see the movie "Quiz Show" with Ralph Fiennes. I liked it, but it's a little slow. I'm not sure what movies you like, so if you decide to watch it and you hate it, don't hate me! It's older, so I'm not sure if they'll have it. I really liked Disney's "Earth."

And I'm REALLY sorry about the mouse! Yikes!
