All Hallow's Eve

So, I had every intention of getting the pics up fast. I even had them in the computer on the 1st. Then Daylight Savings Time Ending caught up to us. Then James and I got sick... So here I am now.

It took us all month to convince James that the way you got candy was to dress up. He was not interested in it AT ALL. He even watched Halloween episodes of all of his favorite cartoons, but he did not want to dress up. I finally decided he might be convinced if he dressed as what he is all the time any way...
A BASKETBALL PLAYER:

I know, I know, it is a football jersey.
Jersey's are really expensive for a two-year-old
that won't fit in it next year.
So we found a slightly cheaper BYU jersey
and that is what we went with.

The first candy bar he got,
he had to eat. After that, he
did not care much about
Trick or Treating one way
or the other.

He did think that the lighted pumpkins
were REALLY cool, even if he was
not interested when we carved them.

How does that thing work?

Now isn't everybody glad I don't have more time?
If I did I would have to do some ranting about Stephanie Meyer and New Moon since it is coming out soon and because Tiffany has me thinking about the series since she posted about them on her blog.

LOL.

Well - hey. To each their own. I, personally, will be having sweet vampire dreams tonight... and I'm not ashamed.

Even if the narrative sucks...

I am all in favor of letting kids be what they want to be! Abby had a ton of princesses at her preschool and I was so proud of my little candy witch. Looks like he had fun.

I just LOVE those pictures of James! The one where he's looking in the pumpkin is priceless! So awesome! Every year I think it seems kind of pointless for us to do those Halloween traditions - carving pumpkins, dressing up, trick-or-treating, etc. - as they are stressful and the kids don't even seem to care. Then I look at the pictures afterward and it's all worth it. Those pics of James are definitely worth it! He's a way cute football player! (I'm all about the cheaper costumes too!) :)

Oh...and I'm still debating whether or not to try out the Twilight books again. Probably won't, but who knows?
