Random Sampler

First, James decided to give up naps for Christmas. Was I that bad this year? I would have preferred the coal. I wouldn't mind so much except for the tantrum that occurs every night between 4 and 5 caused by it.

That is my excuse for not posting much any more. If I want to even write half a book this year, I cannot spend all of my time posting, of course, I should be writing now...

Here are some random pictures with captions:

This is how James spent Thanksgiving.
He decided that my mom's shower in her
new house was the biggest hoop ever.
Luckily his cousins were willing to
stand in it and throw the balls back.

Just a cute pose of James from Thanksgiving.

We decided to ride Frontrunner and Trax
down to see the lights at Temple Square.
Too bad everybody else had the same idea
on the same night. I have never seen a train
so crowded, except in Japan where there is
actually an employee who shoves people onto
the trains.

James and I waiting for Trax.

Jake and James in front of some lights
at Temple Square.

The Salt Lake Temple.

I might get around to Christmas pictures eventually.

How old is James now? Benjamin gave up naps when we went to Alaska (because it was so light outside he couldn't sleep) and he was not yet three years old. I totally feel your pain. It's a lot better now, though. Putting him to bed a bit earlier helped a lot. Good luck!

I'm so sorry about the lack of naps. Sad day.

I love the pictures though! You should've just pretended you were one of those Japanese employees and started pushing people. They would've thought you were crazy, and I would've thought you were hilarious :)

Don't worry. you are not alone with the fits that occur between 4-5 every night(and at least you only have 1 throwing fits.. it could be worse!). My sister-in-law calls it the witching hour. I think ALL mothers hate that time of day.

That picture of James at Thanksgiving is SO CUTE! He's a perfect mix of you and Jake. What a cutie! Too bad about the naps...that's definitely one of the hardest adjustments as a parent. Too bad he (and kids in general) don't realize the value of sleep like we do, eh? :)
Good luck writing your book! You can do it!
