First Tooth

So, James started getting his first tooth last Monday. I know because he bit me with it. (not something I appreciated, luckily it was my finger). I guess this is good news and is exciting and all of that. But it is also a little creepy. The kid is only four months old. You can actually see his tooth now, if he will let you stick your finger in his mouth. He doesn't always allow this, yet strangely if he can get a hold of your finger he will put it in his mouth himself (nobody ever said babies were logical).

Other things that James does that four month olds shouldn't be capable of: Standing, trying to stand unaided, walking, trying to walk unaided.

He seems to have no interest in crawling. If you put him on his stomach, he will thrash around for a while, then get frustrated because he doesn't seem to be going anywhere. He can also roll over from his stomach to his back in both directions and from his back to his stomach, only to his left. Though, he now finds rolling over boring and will only do it if he is trying to get at something that he can't reach unless he rolls. Usually, this is the singing caterpillar that is in his crib. James likes to grab its legs and often falls asleep on his side while trying to reach the caterpillar.
