Christmas and Rock Band

There is nothing like trying to post with a kid on your knee, a cat on your shoulders and annoying children's videos on the other computer screen...

The only thing James would tell anyone he wanted was a pop goes the weasel toy. He loves that song. I tried to find the Elmo toy from Nursery that played the song, but they don't make it any more. The "George" in the box seemed to work though.

Opening a big one. James had to play with every present before he would open another one. It took us three hours to get through his gifts on Christmas morning.

The soccer goal from my brother was an instant hit. He wouldn't open any other presents and just told me to do it.

Another hit was the train sets and the James train (from Thomas) that goes by itself.

My niece and nephew got Rock Band for the Wii for Christmas.
We had a jam session and James decided he needed to join in.
That is my brother on the drums, Jake on the guitar and James singing "Jingle Bells" to "American Woman."

Close up on the lead singer.

Not to brag but I got a hundred percent on "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey on difficult on vocals. That day was the first time I had ever played. It was fun. We won't talk about my lack of guitar and drum skills. We all know I am only a singer. :)

How cute! Jingle Bells--I love it. We got Rock Band, too and Jonathan loves to play the drums and the guitar. He just doesn't know that he's not connected :)

Haha! I think that's so funny that it took 3 hours to open presents! What a funny little James! And I'm VERY impressed with your Rock Band skills! I just don't play...for very good reasons. :)

Going slow on the presents is the best. You can get away with less presents that way. (Or do like some others I know where they just open a present each day and make Christmas last a week). Too bad that when they get older they rip them all open and then say, "that's all?!"
