Yet another thing you shouldn't say to a pregnant woman

The conversation went something like this:

Anonymous member of my ward: "Hi, how are you doing?"
Me: "I am all right I guess."
AMofW: "How long do you have again?"
Me: "Until December."
AMofW: "Really, is that all?"

Is that all? This pregnancy has been totally miserable. I haven't been able to breathe for about seven months. I can't sleep. All of my joints hurt. I can barely walk because my hips are so bad. I have a love hate relationship with food (except ice cream and cold cereal). And I get to do it all for about 8 more weeks, but yeah, that's all.

That's better than someone saying, "So you're due this month, right?" which implies that I am so huge that I must surely be giving birth soon.

Turds. Have you got a snoogle? I couldn't sleep without a snoogle, two pillows, and a heartburn wedge (or inclined hospital bed). Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. And as far as I'm concerned, you can deliver that baby whenever the heck you want ;).

Ugh, I'm so sorry. People say the stupidest things to pregnant women. I'm impressed you didn't offer to club her in the knees and then see how far away December feels.

Ugh... sorry Brooke! Hang in there. Maybe these next 8 weeks will fly by...? (Haha!)

Hey, btw, Tim and I are in the same ward as a few of your relatives (the McNeils)! Awesome!!
