DRAMA

So, this post was supposed to be about the house that we accepted an offer on yesterday....

Instead, while the Real Estate Agent was sitting on our couch, Jake was getting laid off. So much for that idea, I guess.

If anybody has got a good job, send it our way!

ARE YOU KIDDING?? I'm so, so sorry. That's awful. :(

If I hear of anything out there (or here! ha), I'll let you know. What kind of job is he looking for?

Oh, how terrible! Life is like that, and it's incredibly frustrating. We'll be rooting for you guys.

Oh no! What's he looking for a job in? I'll scour my network, just send me in a direction or two.

Amy: Something to do in the tech industry. Linux is my main love there, but I'm getting more and more into programming (Python is my current self-study thing right now). I also have loads of teaching experience at this point in Linux, Physics, Math, Astronomy... geek stuff. Thanks for keeping your eyes out for me! :)

Argh, drama!! I'm so sorry about the layoff. I hate troublesome unexpected things like that. He's a right smarty-pants, though, so I'm sure another door will open.

For the record, I don't want anyone to think anything bad of the company that let me go (and some others). They are great and the time I worked there was great. They hated doing it and didn't want to at all. They are even helping all of us try to find other jobs. But they had to stay afloat in these oh so wonderful times.
